MCSD schools to open one hour earlier due to freezing temperatures

Muscogee County School District schools will open their doors one hour earlier Tuesday due to the forecasted freezing temperatures in the morning.

"This will help accommodate students who may arrive early, prevent students from being left outside in the cold and help building administrators and support staff communicate any issues that may need to be addressed immediately," MCSD said in an email and a recorded phone message to parents Monday evening.

The message emphasized, "There is no change to school start times and no change to bus schedules."
