A stop at a South Georgia gas station led to a life-changing lottery prize for one lucky player.

A Fantasy 5 ticket sold in Bainbridge hit the jackpot to win $162,216 after matching all five numbers in the Jan. 23 drawing, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The player purchased the winning ticket at the Junior Mall Grocers convenience store, beating odds of 1 in 850,668 to snag the top prize, officials said.

The winning numbers Jan. 23 were 09-14-29-31-38, results show.

It comes less than a week after two Fantasy 5 players each won a $403,502 jackpot in the Jan. 20 drawing, according to the Georgia Lottery.

One of the winning tickets was sold at a Citgo Quik Mart in Alpharetta and the other was purchased by an Alpharetta resident on the Georgia Lottery app, officials said.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their tickets, the Georgia Lottery said.

Bainbridge is about a 40-mile drive northwest from Tallahassee.
