An entire bridge went missing from an Ohio field about a month ago, and now police are requesting help to find it.

The bridge — 58 feet long, 10 feet wide and 6 feet high — was being stored in a field on the west side of Seiberling Street, behind Harwick Standard Corp., in Akron, according to a post from the Akron Police Department.

It had been relocated to the field, police say, from Middlebury Run Park, where it was part of a wetland restoration project.

While the restoration work began in 2003-04, the Akron Beacon Journal reports the city was planning to reuse the bridge in a “parking lot project” with the Battered Women’s Shelter in Akron.

But on Nov. 3, police say someone noticed the brush surrounding the bridge had been cleared and the treated deck boards were removed.

Then, by Nov. 11, authorities say the entire structure had vanished.

Police say the bridge is a lot like a “large Lego,” WJW reports, meaning it could have been easily taken apart and stolen.

“The bridge is almost all polymer I’m told and really just connected by some bolts, so if you have any equipment, sockets or anything of that nature, it wouldn’t have been very difficult at all to start the process of disassembling that,” Lt. Mike Miller told the TV station.

City officials value the bridge between $30,000 and $40,000, according to the Beacon Journal.

“It could be used for a variety of different things to include as simple as landscaping or they could use it for some other engineering project, some other large scale project,” Miller told WJW, though officials say it wouldn’t have much value if recycled.

Anyone with information about the bridge or where it might be is asked to call Akron Police Detective D. Forney at 330-375-2464.

Akron is a city south of Cleveland.
