A flying goose caused a motorcyclist to lose control of his bike, crash and die in Pennsylvania, police say.

Bristol Township Police officers were called to the scene of a wreck around 10 a.m. on Friday, April 8, near Croydon, according to a news release.

A man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle sideswiped a Chevrolet sedan in the oncoming lane, then collided head-on with a Toyota SUV, police said.

While investigating the crash, officers discovered the Chevy sedan was equipped with a camera, Bristol police told McClatchy News.

After reviewing the video, police determined that a goose “flew out of the woods” next to the roadway and collided “directly into the side of the motorcyclist’s head.”

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Croydon is roughly 8 miles east of Philadelphia.
