Worker dragged to his death by ATV while cleaning Super Bowl stadium, Arizona cops say

A worker cleaning State Farm Stadium in Glendale following the Super Bowl died after being accidentally dragged by an all-terrain vehicle, Arizona police told news outlets.

An ATV Gator driven by another worker unknowingly dragged a worker removing materials at the stadium several hundred feet Saturday, Feb. 18, police told KNXV.

Rescuers took the man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries but he later died, KSAZ reported.

The ATV driver, who showed no signs of impairment, is cooperating with the investigation, police told KPNX.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 12 at the stadium.

Glendale is a city of 248,000 people about about 10 miles northwest of Phoenix.
