Georgia DOT to close 4 rest areas until late June for remodeling
The Georgia Department of Transportation is shutting down four rest areas for remodeling and retrofitting.
According to a report on the department’s website, the four will be closed beginning Jan. 29.
The rest stops are along I-75 and I-475.
The following rest areas will be temporarily closed to the public: #19 in Bibb County, #24 in Monroe County and #34 and #35 in Gordon County.
The rest areas are expected to reopen on June 28, 2018.
