Former President Barack Obama to campaign in swing state of Georgia on eve of election

Accentuating the neck-and-neck race in Georgia, Republican President Donald Trump, Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris and former Democratic President Barack Obama are expected to campaign in the state days before the election.

Monday, Obama is expected in Atlanta to campaign on behalf of Biden and Harris, as well as for Georgia candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who are both running for seats on the U.S. Senate. Details are expected to be released later, according to the Biden-Harris campaign.

Trump is expected in Rome on Sunday night, while the exact location of Harris’ visit hasn’t been released yet by the Biden-Harris campaign.

Georgia is a swing state, with polls showing a razor-thin margin between Trump and and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump, his children and Vice President Mike Pence all have made campaign swings through Georgia, as have the Bidens and Harris.

Both Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr. held rallies about a week apart in Macon. Jill Biden, the wife of Joe Biden, made a brief campaign stop in Macon last Monday.

Obama is expected to campaign for Biden and Harris also in South Florida on Monday, according to the Biden-Harris campaign.

Trump is expected to make several campaign stops in multiple states Saturday through Monday in the last swing of his presidential campaign, according to the Trump campaign.

Harris is expected to make campaign stops Sunday in Goldsboro and Fayetteville, North Carolina, according to the Biden-Harris campaign.
