Oops, they did it again.

For the second time in about a year, NBC News has mislabeled Columbus on a Georgia election map.

Columbus, the second largest city in the state of Georgia, is represented by a dot on the NBC news map near the city of Newnan.

Newnan is in Coweta County. Columbus is in Muscogee County.

It’s not the first time the national news outlet has gotten their Georgia geography incorrect. They placed Columbus in Coweta County near Newnan in the 2021 U.S. Senate runoff race as well.

NBC News is updating their map in real-time during the Georgia primary. The Associated Press has already declared Stacey Abrams the Democratic nominee for governor and both Sen. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker as the Democrat and Republican nominees for U.S. Senate, respectively.

Follow the Ledger-Enquirer’s live blog for election results in the Columbus area, including races for mayor, city council and school board seats.
