Remembering lives of fallen comrades

Scores of present and former city employees gathered Wednesday afternoon on the Plaza Level of the Government Center to pay tribute to their deceased comrades. The annual "Celebration of Life Memorial Tribute" recognizes the service that the late workers gave for the city and its people, City Manager Isaiah Hugley said.

The program featured an honor guard presenting the colors and brief remarks by several city leaders. It culminated with placing flowers on a permanent memorial.
