Join us for an in-person conversation with Columbus reporter Brittany McGee

Whether it’s the investigation into the Columbus Finance Department, the races for Columbus Council and mayor, the dismissal of city manager Isaiah Hugley, or just the various goings on that come to our local councilors, there’s no shortage of newsworthy happenings in our local government.

Community issues reporter Brittany McGee has her finger on the pulse of the issues, as she brings you vital reporting on each topic daily. We’ve seen great interest from readers in her work, and that’s greatly appreciated.

Now we want to give you a chance to hear directly from Brittany about her coverage and the issues that are important to you.

So we created this in-person event to do just that.

On Aug. 28, the Ledger-Enquirer will host a community discussion in the Columbus Public Library auditorium about Brittany’s local government coverage from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event will start with a presentation by Brittany on her most recent city government coverage, moderated by senior reporter and deputy editor Mark Rice. We will share some behind-the-scenes information on the work that goes into Brittany’s reporting, and will welcome your questions.

Georgia editor Jeremy Chisenhall and other members of the Ledger-Enquirer staff will be in attendance, too. RSVP here to claim your seat.
