The 2026 Columbus mayor election is approaching quickly, and the Ledger-Enquirer is asking our readers for help in shaping election coverage.

With Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson finishing his last term in office, the race for his seat is wide open with seven candidates currently vying for the role.

The nonpartisan election for Columbus mayor will be May 19, 2026, with the qualifying period beginning March 2 at 9 a.m. and ending at noon on March 6, when the official candidates will be determined.

As the city prepares to go into the new year, the Ledger-Enquirer is asking our readers to send in the questions they would like us to ask these mayoral candidates. Fill out the form below to submit your questions.

After the questions have been submitted, the Ledger-Enquirer will follow up with a series of stories with the answers from each candidate. Find out where the candidates stand on the economy, homelessness, economic development, accountability and other issues.

Readers may ask up to 10 questions each and must submit them by Dec. 12 at noon.
