Here’s how to locate your polling place in Columbus, Georgia for the 2024 election
This election is, arguably, one of the most impactful in recent history. The lead-up to Tuesday, Nov. 5, has probably felt incredibly long to Georgia voters, fraught with tensions and controversies.
Georgia is among a handful of swing states, and the stakes are incredibly high. Georgia, along with the other swing states, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, will decide the results of the 2024 Presidential election.
Here’s how to locate your polling place in Columbus, Georgia, and what you will need when you get there.
Check your registration
Before you can cast your ballot, ensure you’re registered to vote. You can check your registration status on the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.

On Election Day, Columbus residents must vote at their designated polling location. Here’s how to find yours:

Voting Options
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. If you are in line by 7 p.m., you will be allowed to cast your ballot, even if the polls have officially closed.
What to Bring
Georgia law requires voters to present a valid photo ID when voting in person. Acceptable forms include:
Georgia driver’s license
Valid U.S. passport
Valid government-issued photo ID
Free Voter ID Card (available at the County Board of Registrar’s Office)
