The Pine Mountain Valley family includes Jeremy and Jennifer Williams, as well as children Josie and Jacob.
Greenville High School football coach Jeremy Williams has ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The terminal condition affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Seven-year-old Jacob Williams has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair.
“Extreme Makeover” crews in February built a new approximately 4,000-square-foot home for the family.
Prior to Sunday’s episode, “Extreme Makeover” policies prevented the Williams family from discussing their home’s interior with detail.
When the show aired, viewers finally saw the home’s many amenities, which included remote-controlled doors and a barn-themed bedroom.
