3-year-old missing from Alabama found safe in Georgia, officials say

The Amber Alert for a 3-year-old Alabama boy has been canceled after the child was found with a relative in Georgia, multiple outlets report.

Khilan Bell was found safe Friday in Forest Park, Georgia, about 10 miles south of Atlanta, according to Gordo Police Chief Johnny Stevenson. A family member is accused of taking him.

An emergency missing child alert was issued for the toddler Thursday afternoon when he disappeared from a relative’s house in Gordo, Alabama, near Tuscaloosa.

Stevenson said Khilan’s parents are headed to Georgia to pick him up, WIAT reported.

The family member was arrested and will be extradited back to Alabama, according to the station.
