4-month-old dies after car crash involving ambulance in Alabama, police say

A 4-month-old has died after a crash involving an ambulance in Alabama, police said.

The collision between the ambulance and a 2008 Nissan Altima happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on Federal Drive in Montgomery, according to a news release from the Montgomery Police Department. Police haven’t released information on what led up to the crash.

Police said the infant was a passenger in the Nissan and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver and other passengers of the Nissan and the driver and passengers of the ambulance had non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said they are still investigating the cause of the crash. No other information has been released as of Wednesday afternoon.
