Chicken-scented candles? Zaxby’s giving away ‘relaxation pack’ to help you decompress
Living through a pandemic can be stressful, and a restaurant chain wants you to decompress with fried food smells.
Chicken-scented candles are part of a “relaxation pack” giveaway scheduled for Saturday, fast-casual eatery Zaxby’s said in a news release.
“These are trying times, so we’re promoting peace, harmony and chicken with some soothing, on-brand freebies,” chief marketing officer Joel Bulger said in the release. “We hope it puts a smile on people’s faces and helps them relax and destress.”
Each free pack also includes a Zaxby’s sleep mask, “citrus vinaigrette bath bomb” and a candle that smells like crinkle fries, according to the company.
So how can you get your hands on the items?
On Saturday, anyone interested in the giveaway can visit bit.ly/ZensationRelaxation and fill out their information. The company says “relaxation packs” will be sent to the first people who participate.
Even if you don’t get the freebies, there’s still an excuse to kick your feet up. It turns out, Saturday is National Relaxation Day, according to nationaldaycalendar.com.
This year, the day comes at a time people may be seeking ways to unwind from the stress of the coronavirus pandemic. To help cope, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people research counseling options, do activities they enjoy and try to eat and sleep well.
Zaxby’s, which is based in Athens, Georgia, has restaurants in 17 states, including several in the Southeast.
