Megan Danielle is one step closer to being crowned the next “American Idol,” earning a spot in the show’s top 3 after a night filled with fan-favorite Disney songs.

Danielle, from Douglasville, Georgia, thrilled the judges with her rendition of “You Can’t Stop The Girl” from the 2019 Disney film “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.”

The Sunday, May 14, performance earned her a standing ovation from judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, videos show. Later, she belted out a version of “Carried Me With You” from the movie “Onward,” released in 2020.

Danielle joins fellow contestants Colin Stough and Iam Tongi in the final 3.

The “American Idol” season finale airs live from Hollywood at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 21.
