In news most of us already knew, Georgia has been ranked in the top 20 most fun states in the US, according to WalletHub’s 2025 “Most Fun States in America” report.

The study compared all 50 states across dozens of categories and while we didn’t quite crack the top 10, Georgia’s rank as 18th most fun state is definitely something to brag about.

Here’s how GA landed at #18 most fun state

Georgia’s spot didn’t come from one single attraction. As we all know, the state balances big-city entertainment with small-town charm, offering plenty of options, no matter what your version of “fun” is.

The category numbers depict the relative rank of that state, where a rank of 1 represents the best conditions and 50 is the worst. The total score is out of 100.

  • Overall rank: 18
  • Overall score: 42.36
  • Entertainment and recreation: 17
  • Nightlife: 26
