Columbus may be a winter wonderland Tuesday afternoon.

Columbus is under a winter storm warning until 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS forecast for Tuesday shows snow for Columbus, mainly after 2 p.m., according to their website. The chance of precipitation is 80% with one to three inches of snow accumulation possible, the website says.

Tuesday’s forecast includes a high near 34 during the day and a low around 16 during the night, NWS says.

The frigid temperatures will persist until the beginning of the weekend.

Wednesday’s forecast includes a high around 40 with a low around 19 Wednesday night, according to the forecast.

Thursday may see a high near 44 with a low around 23 Thursday night, the NWS forecasts.

Friday is forecast to have a high near 47 with a low around 22 at night.

Temperatures will reach the 50s starting Saturday with a forecast high around 50 and a low around 28 at night, according to the NWS.

Sunday’s forecast includes a high near 57 and a low around 40 at night, the NWS says.
