A strong line of storms will tear across Georgia this evening. What to expect.

Severe weather is expected to begin this evening in Georgia as “A slow-moving weather system will unleash disruptive downpours and thunderstorms across Louisiana and to the Carolinas and Florida,” according to AccuWeather.

The storms have the potential for tornadoes and hail, but the main threat is heavy rainfall and flash floods. One to two inches of rain is probable, but if the storm repeatedly hits a certain area, AccuWeather says up to six inches of rain can occur.
