Consolidation

The Muscogee County Commission today voiced strong opposition to a proposed constitutional amendment on the consolidation of city-county government and voted to “let the people know” its feelings.

Training School

Students and faculty of the Russell County Training School will present their annual American Education Week program Thursday starting at 1 p.m. at the school in Hurtsboro.

Expressway

The State Highway Department said today it will attempt to head off plans for construction of a service station on land needed for a major bridge-interchange on the Columbus-Manchester Expressway.
