A three-judge federal court said today it takes the strong tentative view that the Georgia Legislature cannot choose a governor in the no-win race between Republican Howard Callaway and Democrat Lester G. Maddox.

Myers Elected

J. Frank Myers of Americus carried all six counties in the Southwest Judicial Circuit in his bid for re-election to the post of solicitor general.

Russell School

Russell County Board of Education today, in a meeting with Harry Goggins of Southern Construction Co., agreed upon $134,450 as the construction cost of a proposed addition to Pittsview School.
