Governor’s Race
Georgians marked time today awaiting a decision by a federal tribunal on the state’s tangled race for governor. The court was asked Tuesday to give up on the Nov. 8 general election and start the process over again and several plaintiffs sought to intervene in court action.
Higher Fees
In 1956, the average cost per patient day at The Medical Center was $16.67. In 1961, the average cost per patient day was $22.37. This year the average was $34.27.
Monkey Catcher?
A wily monkey led the Columbus dog warden on a merry chase in the Wynnton Grove area today. Police said this was the third time the monkey had run loose.
