Maddox Praises CPD

Gov. Lester Maddox and 13 other citizens have commended the Columbus Police Department and various officers for outstanding performance of their duties. Gov. Maddox, in a telegram to Police Chief C. R. Adair, expressed appreciation for services during his recent visit here.

Credit Charge Bill

Rep. Milton Jones of Columbus said today he will push for quick House action on bills to restrict installment credit charges on department store accounts and automobile mortgages in Georgia.
