Pilot Safe
The pilot of a Navy jet fighter, whose parents live here, ejected safely Friday from his crippled plane moments before it plunged into the Gulf of Mexico at Cross City, Fla. Lt. Religion
Catholic priests will join Protestant ministers in a series of interfaith services starting June 18 among five downtown churches. The Rev. Dr. G. Othell Hand, pastor of First Baptist Church and series chairman, said Friday it is the first time Catholics have joined in the annual Sunday night summer series which started several years ago and probably “the first time in Georgia” that Catholics have participated in a series of ecumenical services.
