Actor Tracy Dies

Spencer Tracy, 67, whose rough-hewn face and forceful manner personified the American man of action in scores of movie roles, died Saturday. Tracy’s career, which brought him two Academy Awards and eight nominations, more than any other actor, began on the state in 1922.

CD Meetings

Two Civil Defense meetings on Wednesday and Thursday will bring together newly appointed members of the Community Shelter Plan Policy Council and will open the Operational Survival Plan for discussion.

Bradley Center

A memorial fund has been created at the Bradley Center for special donations to supplement a new building and expansion drive now under way. The fund drive is being led by T. Hiram Stanley and J. Q. Davidson to raise $212,000 required from public support for the $635,000 mental health clinic.
