Grocery Wars

Food prices here are being slashed today in Columbus as two chain food stores launch what appears to be a food price war. One store announced reductions on “over 2,000 items” while the other said prices on some items would be reduced “up to 30 percent lower than normal.”

Clean-Up Drive

The annual spring clean-up drive has been started by the Muscogee County Health Department to pick up rubbish, water holding containers, junk appliances and other trash in the community’s worst areas.
