Draft Bill

President Johnson was expected to sign a four-year extension of the draft law today. He also probably will issue an executive order calling up younger men — 19-year-olds first.

Typhoid

Half the citizens in this southwest Georgia town of 1,000 received typhoid shots this week since the death Monday of a teenage girl who died of the communicable disease. Health authorities said Ernestine Calhoun, 17, of Omega died in nearby Sylvester General Hospital.

Business

John Bradley and N.W. Phillips have been named to the Phenix National Bank’s advisory board by the bank’s board of directors, according to officials.
