Post Accident

Two women, one from Columbus, were killed Monday and three soldiers injured in a two-car collision at Fort Benning. Authorities identified the victims as Mary Ann McManus, 22, 3042 Blan St. and Carol A. Wilkes, 20, of Forest Park, Ga.

Murder Charge

A Columbus woman was bound to Superior Court Monday without bond in connection with the Saturday night slaying of her common-law husband. Leretha Gwen Robinson, 27, 1021 ½ Adair Ave., is charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of Herbert Nathanial Adams, 19, police said.

Shaw Fund

The Muscogee Education Association has created a Columbus College scholarship fund in honor of the late Mrs. William H. Shaw. Mrs. Shaw, wife of Muscogee School District Supt. Dr. William Henry Shaw, died Friday.
