Funerals Guarded

Police today put on special security details to guard the funerals of three slain girls and ensure the safety of three survivors. A so-far futile search continued for Edward Albert (Eddie) Seibold, 21, former Auburn University mathematics senior, accused of murder in the shotgun and knife slaying of two sisters and a young girl who was visiting the home where the attack occurred.

Maddox Rips LBJ

Gov. Lester Maddox charged Thursday President Lyndon Johnson encouraged rioting in American cities. And the Georgia governor again denounced the rioting as a Communist plot.

Springer

Season ticket membership for the Springer Theater Company has surpassed last year’s total. Sam Rawls, president of the company, announced Friday. Rawls made the report at a “Springer Week” kickoff luncheon.
