Auburn Slayings

A federal fugitive warrant has been issued for a 21-year-old college professor’s son charged in the midnight slaying of three Auburn girls. Police this morning reported “nothing new” has developed in the past 24 hours as the search widened for Edward Albert Seibold, now being sought by authorities in three states as well as FBI investigators.

The South Columbus Methodist Church consecrates its new education building Sunday and, simultaneously, celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Springer

Season ticket membership for the Springer Theater Company has surpassed last year’s total, Sam Rawls, president, announced Friday. Rawls made the report at a “Springer Week” kickoff luncheon.
