Board OKs Audit

The auditing firm of West, Favors, Hemstead and Bundrick will receive $11,750 for Muscogee County’s audit, as the commission agreed Tuesday when the motion was made by Commissioner Dixon Wadsworth and seconded by Commissioner Malcolm Forte.

Religion

The Rev. Dr. E.J. Daniels, Southern Baptist evangelist from Orlando, Fla., Tuesday night spoke to a crowd of over 3,000 under a tent on 13th Street, on the topic “What would Jesus do if He came to Phenix City?”

Valley Buses

The Valley Chamber of Commerce board voted Tuesday to look into the possibility of reactivating a public bus system throughout the Valley. Jack Keith, president, said the unification committee will investigate the matter.
