Nixon’s Mother Dies

Mrs. Hannah Nixon, 82, mother of former Vice President Richard M. Nixon, died in Whittier Nursing Home, Whittier, Calif., this morning, Nixon aides said.

Nixon was in New York, and arrangements were being made for him to fly to California.

Reagan Rallies GOP

Gov. Ronald Reagan, disclaiming any interest in the 1968 presidential nomination, told a Republican rally in Columbia, S.C., Friday night that the Democrats can be ousted from the White House “if we forget past grudges and intra-party fighting.”
