The watchdog committee of Sigma Delta Chi, professional journalistic society, today accused the Johnson administration of duplicity in issuing “inaccurate and misleading statements.” The committee’s report, was also critical of the American Bar Association (ABA) Committee on Fair Trial and Free Press.

God as Ally

Gov. Lester Maddox says some news writers thought it was impossible for him to be elected governor of Georgia, but they forgot about God. “Even a dropout like Lester Maddox can become governor with God on his side,” the governor said.

Youth Senate

A Columbus High Student, Steve Goodman, has been chosen to represent the 3rd District in a statewide competition to select two students from Georgia to participate in the Senate Youth Program.
