Muscogee County has less than two weeks left to take some action that might keep the door open to obtaining a levee system on the Chattahoochee River south of Columbus.

Seibold Case

Pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity will be entered at the trial of accused triple-slayer Edward A. Seibold, according to his attorney Jacob A. Walker Jr.

Education

A recommendation that a 5 per cent salary supplement be considered for teachers of exceptional children is in the hands of the Muscogee County Board of Education’s finance committee. The finance committee also has been asked to consider in its 1986 budget study a “minimum” sum to provide transportation for exceptional or handicapped pupils.
