Officers Indicted
Columbus policemen S. M. Sexton and Jerry Freeman, indicted Wednesday by a Muscogee County grand jury on charges of accepting bribes, today were suspended from the force. Police Chief Clyde Adair said the two patrolmen have been suspended pending a public safety board hearing on the charges against them. Warrants were issued today for their arrest for allegedly accepting payment to allow illegal operations at the Whisk-A-Go-Go night club.

GOP Chair Speaks
Nolan Murrah, Muscogee County Republic chairman, was the guest speaker at a meeting Wednesday of the Columbus Area Republican Women’s Club at the Sears Roebuck Civic Center.
