Benning Meningitis

A 19-year-old Army trainee from Atlanta died Saturday at Fort Benning of meningococcal meningitis. He was Pvt. Larry J. Billinslea of 2091 Detroit Ave., Atlanta, the second soldier at the post to die of the highly contagious disease.

Police Hearings

Presentments drawn by a special grand jury investigating alleged irregularities in the Columbus Police Department will be turned over to Superior Court Judge John Land late Wednesday or early Thursday, foreman Jack Favors said today.

Columbus Tech

An evening extension course in electronic communications will start Thursday at Columbus Area Vocational-Technical School.
