Harrell Quits Post

William E. Harrell has resigned as principal at Clubview Elementary School, but said today his earlier resignation from Columbus City Commission will not be affected.

Harrell said he asked the school board to release him from his 1965-66 contract in order to accept a position as personnel director for the Royal Crown Cola Co.

On Drinks Issue

Indications are that a second mixed-drinks referendum will be called as soon as possible, if Columbus City Commission next week learns that the required number of registered voters have signed a petition calling for such a referendum.

College Grant

Columbus College has been notified it will soon receive an initial payment of $7,594 or half of a $15,188 grant for a work-study program financed through the Office of Economics Opportunity to help students from low-income families attend college.
