Callaway Bid

An official of the Georgia Democratic Party said today that if Third District Congressman Howard (Bo) Callaway runs as a petition candidate for governor this year it must be as an independent. Travis Stewart said the new Georgia election code requires that candidates for party nomination must qualify by June 15 for a primary election.
