Gov. George Wallace’s wife swept to a landslide victory Tuesday in the Democratic gubernatorial primary to propel her scrappy little husband into the 1968 presidential picture as a possible states’ rights candidate.

Negro Wins Seat

Negro attorney Fred Gray apparently has won a seat in the Alabama House from the district that includes Gov. George Wallace’s hometown.
