Medicare Plan

Certification of The Medical Center for participation in Medicare is now expected sometime next week. William Page, regional director of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) in Atlanta, Friday said that he had personally checked into the report on The Medical Center.

Pageant

An estimated 450-500 persons watched and applauded Friday as 14 local talented beauties ran through the first night of the Miss Columbus Pageant for 1966 at the Three Arts Theater.

Religion

A distinguished Jesuit theologian acknowledged that Catholic veneration of the Virgin Mary is an obstacle to Christian unity. But he said it seems so only because Catholics and Protestants persist in misunderstanding each other’s point of view.
