‘Bear’ Collapses
Coach Paul (Bear) Bryant of Alabama collapsed today just as he began a speech at the annual Pepperdine College coaching clinic. A doctor who examined Bryant at the hospital said that he “seems to be doing well.”
Governor’s Race
Albany gubernatorial candidate James H. Gray charged today that the Atlanta newspapers “are playing a two-faced game” of deliberately upgrading Republican Howard Callaway in order to downgrade the Democrats.
Crime
It looks like the crime business in Columbus is pretty good. According to the Uniform Crime Report issued each month by the FBI, crime in Columbus, as well as the rest of the nation, is well up over last year.
