Victory Drive

Plans for widening Victory Drive in Columbus to eight lanes and the construction of a “straight intersection” to replace the Traffic Circle have been submitted to the U.S. Bureau of Public Roads by the State Highway Dept.

4H Award

Five Muscogee 4-H Club members won first place awards at the 1966 Northwest Area District project achievement meeting: Wayne Anthony, Linda Bishop, Wanda Williams, Alice Jones and Linda Self.

Sports

Five right fielders will start the 1966 All-Star baseball game July 12 at St. Louis: Frank Robinson of Baltimore, Tony Oliva of Minnesota, Al Kaline of Detroit, Hank Aaron of Atlanta and Roberto Clemente of Pittsburgh.
