Gray Campaign
Albany publisher James H. Gray opened his campaign officially for governor Monday night, proclaiming his goal of “the preservation of individual liberty and the equal rights of all men and women,” and continuing his attack on the federal government and civil rights demonstrators.
Train Mishap
One car of a 22-car Central of Georgia freight train bound for a brickyard in Phenix City derailed Monday night on Ninth Street just off Broadway in Columbus. No one was injured in the accident.
