Officer Charged

A Fort Benning officer today faced a charge of involuntary manslaughter resulting from the death of another soldier late Wednesday night in a one car smashup. A small foreign car, driven by 2nd Lt. Norman G. Brightman, 24, 55th Co., 5th Student Battalion, rammed into a concrete pillar under the Oglethorpe Bridge around 11 p.m., killing a passenger, 2nd Lt. William Queen, Jr., 22, Infantry School Weapons Dept.

Wilson Visit
