Tom Sellers, daily columnist and assistant managing editor of the Ledger and the Sunday Ledger-Enquirer, has been awarded a Mark Etheridge fellowship for an academic year of study in medical journalism at the Emory University Medical School starting next January.

Escapee

Law enforcement officers in southwest Georgia were searching today for an escaped prisoner from the Sumter County Public Works Camp. Sheriff Fred D. Chappel said Rufus Bowen, 31, Cordele, escaped Monday.
