Sound Off for October 7, 2016
Mass sell-off
The ice will completely melt after Jan. 1. If the freeze is voted out there will be no more freezes after Jan. 1. There would be a lot of homes for sale.
Involuntary subsidy
It's easy to see why Columbus hasn't had any significant growth in decades. Our welcome mats have the neighbors' property tax bills stashed underneath them.
A kudo for city service
Phenix City has the best garbage pick-up in the world. They are on time and concise and they do it well. Good job Phenix City.
You’re welcome, ma’am
I went to pay my property taxes and the lady ahead of me paid $1.73. I paid $5,000. Boy, Columbus is a great place to live.
Don’t blame the freeze
It is not the property tax freeze that is driving the limited city growth and the escape to surrounding counties; it is the everyday crime problem.
Sure it was FNC?
