Sound Off

Sound Off for October 29, 2016

Inappropriate

I cannot believe Patrick Kennedy was invited here to speak. Not after the horrors of Benghazi. We should have been outside demonstrating.

Stark contrast

Bernie Sanders’ progressive populism was inclusive, positive, and forward-thinking. Trump’s populism appeals to racism, negativity, and reactionary thinking.

Clean it up

Come on, Moon Road residents. Put your trash out to the curb closer to the pick-up date so we don’t have to see it all over the road.

Has to be true

DC call girl says Bill Clinton gave her HIV/AIDS. Just punch it up on the ‘Net.

Self-defeating

A property tax system that allows long-time residents to pay a fraction of the taxes of new homeowners is not only unfair, but also does not bode well for the future of Columbus.

Inflation?

I asked a friend to pick me up a newspaper on his way to my house. $2! And the paper is much thinner.

Just guessing

The police said they would increase their patrols around the Hilton Ave. area after the incident last week. I wonder if that had happened at BTW they would say the same thing. I think not.

The real threat

It’s not ISIS or al Qaeda. It’s the elected officials in Washington — like Hillary.
