Retail woes?

Needed a tool. Computer says a local store has four in stock. Go to store. Can't find tool. Asked for help — twice; help never comes. So I ordered it from Amazon and saved $28.

Hard lessons

It would require a heartless, soulless human (?) to deprive children of school lunches — and force them to read why farmers left Oklahoma when it turned into a dust bowl.

Understated

President Trump, being modest, called his recent overseas trip a home run. I would call it a grand slam.

What right has Donald Trump, who openly brags about not paying taxes, to criticize NATO members for not paying for what he calls their "fair share"?

Historic respect

My great grandfather fought for the Union and was wounded during the war. Yet his descendants hold no animosity toward Robert E. Lee as being one of the greatest military leaders ever.

Capital gang

In the "gangland" of the streets, reporting unlawful behavior to the authorities is called "snitching." In Washington, the same behavior is called "leaking" and threatened with jail time.

The Ledger-Enquirer could do a great thing for Columbus by opposing the closing of 13th Street lanes. It will be a disaster.
