Sound Off for June 18, 2017

... And avoid cliches like the plague

Going forward, our take-home message is that we should think outside the box and at the end of the day, drill down through the low-hanging fruit to the critical stakeholders thrown under the bus.

Common-sense approach

Here’s your check, sir

Duplicitous Don proposes to strip Gulf of Mexico oil revenues from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. I think he carried those four states. Be careful what you ask for; you may get it.

Highway safety

Thank you, Columbus Police Department, for your recent sting operation on distracted drivers. It had to have a impact on helping people understand how dangerous this is.

We may get there yet

If there were a United Federation of Organisms, human beings would be voted off the planet due to greed, ignorance, and lack of respect for the earth.

Packing and prepared

A London Bridge-type attack would kill fewer "infidels" in Georgia because terrorists would be shot dead by armed citizens fairly quickly, thanks to our Constitution.

One small step

John Kennedy, a Democrat, took us to the moon and back in 10 years. Donald Trump, a Republican, took us to Russia in 10 months and we are not back.

No welcome mat here
